Summary of work
In a very short space of time, Stephen has given the ABPI a new face, a new voice, and a new vision. As the NHS grapples with major changes, we need a moderniser like Stephen to speak out, speak up and to do so with clarity.
He is informed, committed, visible, audible, credible, brave, engaged and engaging – with the NHS, the Department of Health and with the industry.
He understands the importance of the payer community and is embracing the dialogue with it – focusing on partnership and a win:win:win situation for the industry, the NHS and most of all the patients.
Stephen has reinvigorated so many of us with his approach and his energy: he makes the patient come alive, he tells stories of real people. He reminds us all why we do what we do.
He believes in us, he defends us, he gives us credit where it is due: he has helped us feel proud again.
Stephen is a breath of fresh air and a positive development for all of us.
