New senior hire for Open Road

Andrew Hobson has joined corporate communications consultancy Open Road as associate director.

Hobson was previously associate director at Insight Public Affairs where he specialised in health and social care policy, helping to build and grow the healthcare client portfolio, with a range of health and not for profit clients, including: Lloydspharmacy, sanofi-aventis, Amgen, Skills for Care and the Anchor Trust.

He joins Open Road after a year studying at New York University for a Masters Degree in Public Administration.

Before Insight he worked for Foresight Communications, for the Labour party and had roles at the Greater London Assembly (GLA) and with Ivor Caplin MP and the Jack Straw MP. Andrew is also a trustee and board member at Fair Trials International.

Andrew will play a leading role in Open Road’s expanding healthcare practice, with clients including Bayer, Bristol-Myers Squibb and Bowel Cancer UK.
