Succinct Communications has joined OPEN Health Communications to form the medical communications backbone of the recently-formed OPEN Health Group.
Under the deal OPEN Health’s med comms division will rebrand as Succinct and the newly combined entity will provide range of consulting skills spanning medical communication, advertising, brand development and public relations. Existing services and all client contracts will remain in place.
“We are absolutely delighted that Succinct will become part of OPEN Health,” said David Rowley, chief executive, OPEN Health. “The Succinct brand is synonymous with delivering exceptional med comms to the healthcare industry, and further strengthens our commitment to build a market-leading health communications company.”
The Succinct leadership team of Sean McGrath and Lisa Dodgshon will form a new executive board alongside OPEN Health’s Sandy Royden, David Rowley and Roger Selman.
“The opportunity to join forces with OPEN Health comes at a perfect time for Succinct,” said Sean McGrath, chief executive at Succinct. “We are ambitious, growing quickly and feel we now need to work with others to fulfil our huge potential. A number of companies approached us, but we were impressed with the leadership team at OPEN Health, as well as sharing their views on how to meet changing client demands to succeed now and in the future”.
Amersham-based Succinct was founded in 2000 and has a strong reputation as an industry leader in med comms, particularly in high-cost specialist medicines, oncology, publication planning and market access. The team comprises 40 professionals and boasts a UK and global client list, including Sanofi, Roche, GE, MSD, GSK, Amgen and the British Oncology Pharmacy Association (BOPA).
