US-based software provider Revation Systems Inc, which specialises in providing secure collaboration, messaging and unified communication software, has launched LinkLive Healthcare, a virtual care delivery suite.

LinkLive Healthcare streamlines healthcare interactions with a diverse but integrated set of real-time communications tools that standardise the user interface and experience across multiple devices and media types. The unified communications solution facilitates webcam videoconferencing; secure file transfers such as a PDF of a patient record or treatment protocol; VoIP telephony; secure HIPAA-compliant email; secure screen sharing; instant messaging and text messaging. This is delivered securely via the cloud and doesn’t require the expensive, dedicated infrastructure typically associated with telehealth solutions.

The platform was designed for healthcare organisations of all types that are trying to increase quality of care, reduce cost of care, and increase the reach and efficiency of care, while helping to drive cost out of the system. LinkLive’s unique combination of secure, HIPAA-compliant communications with virtual call centre and secure multi-point video capabilities support a wide variety of use cases and beneficial outcomes.

“The industry has been open to the concept of telehealth for years, but historically there have been huge adoption challenges, not the least of which has been cost,” said Perry Price, Revation Systems president and co-founder. “Dedicated video conferencing, teleconferencing and collaboration solutions require significant upfront capital investments and the industry has been hesitant to invest in these decentralised and costly solutions without clear reimbursement models.

“Just as the smartphone has emerged as an integrated multi-purpose solution to consumer demand for portable media, productivity, and communications tools, LinkLive Healthcare answers the healthcare industry’s need for integrated care delivery tools that deliver healthcare at the right time, in the right way and at lower cost,” said Price.
